Just received a question on how Coinweb can help make cross-chain operations better. Here is a graphic, and an answer from our Chief Architect @AKCoinweb 👇🏻 “Coinweb can assist in building better bridges. For instance, it can help establish what is known as a native bridge, which is the most complex minimal trust type. This bridge will parse proofs of deposit on another chain. This process requires a bit of gas and also entails a reimplementation of the consensus protocol within the smart contract, which can be complex and challenging. Reorganisations can also be a headache, which is why native bridges often don't support blockchains without immediate finalisation. What Coinweb can facilitate is the monitoring of both layer 1 protocols, ensuring that the deposit and release are conducted correctly, and utilising layer 2 collateral to facilitate its operation. This approach does not necessitate a reimplementation of the consensus protocol, is compatible with blockchains lacking finalisation, functions on Bitcoin, and Coinweb does not require a separate consensus blockchain. Coinweb (core) is not a bridge but rather a cross-chain computation platform that offers more tools to those looking to build bridges.”
